Klein Rijselhoek
After over ten years of tests on two plots in Menin, where he lives, Peter Vandamme planted one hectare with interspecific varieties at the foot of Mont Rouge, in the heart of Heuvelland. His goal has always been to produce natural wines. He is one of just two Belgian winemakers (the other being Servaas Blockeel, near Courtrai) to have chosen this arduous path. His wines have a distinctive purity.
Cabernet Regent
This cuvée underwent malolactic fermentation, unlike the white and the rosé. Peter Vandamme does not mature any of his wines in casks so as to concentrate on the fruit.
Vivid, ruby-coloured robe.
Average intensity on the nose, dominated by fruit.
Balanced in the mouth, with very discreet tannins.
White meat, poultry, cheese.
15-16°C
