Domaine du Chant d'Eole
Belgian Filip Remue had been running Maison Remue-Gaspard in Champagne for over 25 years when he had the idea – not so far-fetched, really – of replicating his success in Quévy, in western Hainaut. A happy partnership with one of the area's largest landowners, the Ewbank family of Wespin, gave rise to Domaine du Chant d'Eole – named after the wind turbines that stir the wind above the vineyard. From the tasting cellar (ultra-modern in its concrete and raw wood design) to the wine storehouse, everything has been designed with ambition: the winery is designed to accommodate the harvest from 30 hectares of vines, an area that will be reached in 2021, and that's just the beginning...
