Klein Rijselhoek
After over ten years of tests on two plots in Menin, where he lives, Peter Vandamme planted one hectare with interspecific varieties at the foot of Mont Rouge, in the heart of Heuvelland. His goal has always been to produce natural wines. He is one of just two Belgian winemakers (the other being Servaas Blockeel, near Courtrai) to have chosen this arduous path. His wines have a distinctive purity.
Souvignier Gris
This cuvée is a 100% Souvignier Gris, whose parents are Seyval Blanc and Zähringer (Traminer + Riesling).
Pale yellow robe with green tints.
Fairly aromatic nose dominated by pear.
Very fine, slightly acid freshness (carambola), fine persistence at the finish.
Perfect as an aperitif, with a seafood platter or a sweet’n’sour Asian dish.
