The perfect summer wine
Fresh - Fruity
Vineyard Deroose Family
Living not far from Roeselare in West Flanders, the Deroose family acquired 18 hectares of vineyards in the Corbières (Languedoc) between 2012 and 2020. Seventeen are in production in the communes of Luc-sur-Orbieu, Boutenac and Ferrals-les-Corbières. Until now, Lieven Deroose and his wife, Katrien Plancke, have concentrated on their vineyard and entrusted the vinification to the Cellier d'Orfée, the cooperative winery in Ornaisons. Lieven is very humble about his new job as a winemaker, which makes him particularly endearing, but he has great ambitions. Drawing on his enormous financial baggage, in 2020 he developed a participatory model with which he hopes to attract Belgian and French investors. The aim is to increase the vineyard's surface area to 22 hectares and to implement new technologies. This year, the estate obtained HVE (High Environmental Value) certification.
Edgard & Marie
Alongside their classic range, the Derooses have launched a new brand with a very cool design, Edgard & Marie. In IGP Pays d'Oc, this second range is available in red, rosé and white: 3 nuggets of excellent value for money and pleasure.
Brilliant salmon colour.
Discreet nose of red fruits.
Nice freshness in the mouth, medium length.
Grills, salads and sunbathing aperitifs :)
